Conquer the Pyramid Full Body Workout

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Quick weekend recap:

On Saturday, Justin and I went to the farmer’s market. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed checking out all the goodies. Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill did a food demo. We learned how to make fresh hummus and baba ganoush. I have yet to make my own hummus but after trying fresh hummus, I am convinced I must give it a try. The fresh ingredients increased my like of hummus from a 5 to a 10. We did not try the baba ganoush because it included yogurt and we make an effort to stay away from dairy but others who tried it were raving. I hadn’t heard of baba ganoush until recently and it is now on my list of recipes to try!

After the farmer’s market, we headed to the mall to look at ski gear for our possible ski trip in a couple of weeks. The mall had a Rainforest Cafe and my love for giraffes makes it hard for me to walk by without getting my picture by the lanky creature. I’m weird, I know.

Last errand of the day was to Wal-Mart to pick out pumpkins. Many of the pumpkins were blemished but Justin worked hard by getting to the bottom of the boxes to ensure that we both got our “perfect” pumpkins. We might or might not have spent over 30 minutes picking them out.

Sunday was spent relaxing and doing things around the apartment.

  • From what I remember she roasts an eggplant, then puts it in a food processor with salt, pepper, one or two garlic cloves, and pours olive oil in slowly. Delicious with pieces of toasted pita bread
