Fit For The Holidays Day 5

I cannot believe that it is already the 5th day of Fit For the Holidays and would like to thank those of you who have participated thus far! You guys are Yogember Warriors! If you are just joining, welcome! Fit For the Holidays is not over as the videos were designed to carry you through the month of December. If the quick, fast paced workouts worked well with your schedule, feel free to repeat the videos each week. Workout 5 was created with Friday in mind. We spent the first 4 days of the week flowing and strengthening with power moves. To give the muscles somewhat of a rest, today’s workout is designed as a flow sequence without the power elements. All this means is that you won’t see actions like push-ups, one legged chaturangas and jumping jacks in this video. Rest assured that you will still be lead through a fun flow that will strengthen and lengthen your muscles through the included poses. I’d love to hear what you think!

To make the holiday tradition sharathon a 3 day affair, I have one more to share with you. From the time I was a little girl, my mom let my sister and me pick out a Christmas tree ornament each year. We had so much fun ogling Christmas ornaments as we tried to find the perfect one. I think one of my favorite ornaments is a white music note that has small mirrors all over it. I took piano lessons at the time and was tickled to find such a beautiful symbolic ornament. My husband, Justin, and I have continued the tradition, also choosing a new ornament each year. This year, I found an adorable ornament at a time when I wasn’t specifically looking. I was browsing antique shops with my mom, sister and aunts when one of them showed me the cutest grey kitten ornament. Buddy arrived this summer so an ornament resembling him is just perfect for 2014!

    Hi Kylie!
    It’s nice of you that you googled JesenΓ­ky Mountains πŸ™‚ To be honest, not everything here is as nice as it looks on the pictures, but I must admit I can’t imagine living somewhere else πŸ™‚ – but I’m afraid I’ll have to, because I won’t be able to find a job here. Our region is the one with the highhest unemployment in the Czech Republic.
    Skiing! Everyone comes here to ski. But not me – I have never learned to. I prefer sledding, even though I might be a little bit too old for it πŸ˜€
    But what i wanted to say: Thank you for another amazing workout! I’m a big fan of the wheel pose, so I was delighted to see it on today’s list of exercises πŸ™‚ Not sure why, but I always feel like I inhaled an chlorinated water out of swimming pool after it πŸ˜€ It last only for a while, but I can breath a lot better then and I simply feel good, so I’m not complaining πŸ˜‰
    That Christmas ornament you found is so sweet! And Buddy too πŸ™‚ We have 7 cats at home right now (we had had 3, but then there were 4 small kittens in our garden, out of nowhere… and what should we do?), so i completely understand your passion for them πŸ˜€
    My third favourite holiday tradition is going on a small trip into the woods on the Christmas Day and hang some food for the wild animals on a tree (carrots, apples, dried bread/rolls etc.), so they have a kind of “Christmas” too πŸ™‚

    I will definitely keep on doing your (not-only) yoga workouts for the rest of the year and will be waiting for the 2015’s ones! Have a nice day πŸ™‚

    PS: Just to let you know – I think Texas must be beautiful as well. I know it only from the pictures and TV documentaries, but I would definitely like to visit it one day πŸ™‚

      I’ve got my fingers crossed that you will find a job in your region when the time comes. Sledding is SO much fun! I don’t think one will ever get too old to sled. πŸ™‚

      I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed the 5th Fit For the Holidays Workout! I agree, wheel is a fun pose! Hmmmm, I haven’t heard of anyone feeling like they have inhaled swimming pool water after wheel. I’m glad that feeling goes away and a better one follows.
