Oatmeal Chia Raspberry Breakfast Bowl

Hey guys!

Have any of you been craving warm breakfast lately? It has actually been cold here in Texas so I have! While I am still loving breakfast smoothies, oatmeal has been appearing more frequently during my week. One of my favorite ways to eat oatmeal is in the form of this Oatmeal Chia Raspberry Breakfast Bowl. Picture a nice full texture (thank you chia seeds) with hints of cinnamon and maple. Pecans provide some crunch and the raspberries are the icing on the cake as they add juicy fruity goodness! You’re not sold? Did I mention that this breakfast bowl is VERY filling? It will both fill and warm your belly keeping you full until lunch. In addition to being delicious and filling, this bowl is EASY. Yes, you can prepare a nice warm breakfast in less than 5 minutes. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Oatmeal Chia Raspberry Breakfast Bowl

  • 1 serving of oatmeal (I used Quaker Quick Oats which called for 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 cup of water.)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Drizzle of maple syrup
  • shake of cinnamon
  • handful of raspberries

  1. Prepare oatmeal following directions on package.
  2. Chop pecans to desired size.
  3. Top oatmeal with chia seeds, pecans, maple syrup, cinnamon and raspberries.
  4. Mix and enjoy!

This hearty breakfast bowl will keep you full for quite some time! Check out the nutritional information below:

Calories: 438.8g
Protein: 10.1g
Carbohydrates: 46.2g
Fiber: 12.8g
Fat: 26.1g

If you are concerned about the calorie count, feel free to decrease the amount of pecans, nix the maple syrup or decrease the amount of chia seeds. Please note that if you decrease the pecans and/or chia seeds, that the grams of protein and fiber will also decrease. Adding additional raspberries is a good way to replace some of the fiber without hiking up the calories, still leaving you with a nice filling breakfast bowl. πŸ™‚
