Casper Mattress vs Leesa Mattress Part 1

Hey guys! I hope you all are doing well! Are any of you having trouble sleeping?

I happen to be like the baby whom every parent hopes for. I can fall asleep anytime, anywhere. While I never have to worry about drifting off, this can be somewhat troublesome as I often miss the end, ahem, let’s be real, middle of movies or TV shows. This drives my husband crazy! Speaking of my husband, he happens to be the reason for the topic of this post. While I have been frolicking peacefully in dreamland, he has been tossing and turning and therefore waking up feeling less than stellar. While our furry companion likes to sleep with us and occasionally jumps on us while we are sleeping, Buddy is not to blame this time.

“Who me???” Sorry guys, anytime I can find a way, I will insert a picture of Buddy. #CrazyCatLady

Justin and I are sleeping on a mattress that he has had since high school. If you are familiar with the 8 year mattress rule, we are past the 8 year mark. While I do not believe that it is crucial to replace your mattress after 8 years, I do think it is important to evaluate your options when you or your partner start experiencing interrupted sleep.

And….. he’s off! Justin began researching mattresses online. Based on his research and some of mine, we decided that we are interested in a memory foam type mattress. There happens to be a mattress store quite close to our home so we began our search there. It was nice to be able to get a feel for what is out there as well as ask any pertaining questions. We tested out innerspring mattresses, memory foam mattresses and hybrid mattresses. After lying on almost every mattress in the store, we decided that we did indeed like the feel of a memory foam mattress best. While there were many memory foam mattresses to choose from in the store, Justin and I had been talking about the Casper Mattress thanks to some of Justin’s coworkers. After more research and debate, we almost ordered a Casper Mattress but then, my husband ran across the Leesa Mattress. Two new and very similar products with comparable prices. Both companies create a foam type mattress for under $1000. We want to make sure we get exactly what we want so we ordered a twin sized Casper mattress and a twin sized Leesa mattress. We plan to try them out to see what we like best, selling the twin beds and ordering a kind sized bed in the brand of our liking.

Stay tuned if you are interested in the comparison of the Casper and Leesa as we will do an unboxing video and post a review in the next week or two!

Do you have experience with a memory foam bed? If so, which one and what do you think of it?
