Workout #18 Upper Body Blast


I hope you have had a great Tuesday and are ready to work your upper body!

Each exercise included in today’s workout targets a different area of the upper body (biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest and back). If you don’t have dumbbells at home you can improvise by using canned food, water bottles, socks or pillow cases filled with weighted objects. If you have any other dumbbell substitute ideas, I would love to hear them.

Resistance training is good for the body in many ways. Some of them are: boosting the metabolism, increasing bone density, strengthening the muscles and improving balance.

Workout #18
-15 minutes total/3 rounds
-5 exercises (6 including diamond scissor legs to be done in between regular exercises)
-40 seconds exercise/20 seconds diamond scissor legs

1) alternating bicep curl
diamond scissor legs
2) tricep “T”
diamond scissor legs
3) palms in alternating shoulder press
diamond scissor legs
4) dumbbell fly
diamond scissor legs
5) dumbbell row
diamond scissor legs

Complete the video for one round. Play the video again for round two and three. Feel free to add additional rounds if desired! If you are unsure how to perform a certain exercise, watch the demonstration video for that specific exercise.
