Yoga Body Burn

Happy Friday!

First of all, I am so sorry that today’s workout is up so late. Right before I was about to start filming something crazy happened……

A lot was going on in the kitchen yesterday morning and one of the items on the to do list was: make green smoothies. Haha, if I only knew what was going to happen. What you just saw was a green smoothie explosion. Yep, it really happened. The floor happened to be smoothie free in the second picture because I had already cleaned it up in order to get access to the rest of the green monster without walking in it.

I have a habit of ALWAYS keeping my hand on top of the blender while it is turned on. So far, this has been a wise thing to do as it has left me with a splatter free kitchen. Because I was multi-tasking this morning, I stepped away from the blender thinking my usual habit was a bit persnickety. NEVER again will I leave my blender without supervision. To sum it up, there were tears, over 3 hours of cleaning, and a husband who didn’t know what to do with his wife.

After wiping, scrubbing, and cursing at the green monster, I can look at my clean (even behind the refrigerator and oven) kitchen and laugh about what happened this morning. I can also say lesson learned. Additionally, I am racking my brain wondering what I did earlier this week. Is this karma? 😉

I’m sure I am not the only one with such a story. If you have one, I would love for you to share!

Oh no! I laughed at green monster. 😀
I have not recently had a kitchen mishap like that, however… I have a 5 and a 7 year old, so cleaning up their ketchup/chocolate milk/ice cream/spaghetti/whatever messes are enough. I will admit it; I have cried over their spilled milk before! 😉

    • I am glad to hear that you have not recently had to deal with a kitchen mishap. Oh my, I bet you have your hands full with 5 and 7 year old messes! I used to nanny so have a taste of what it is like cleaning up after messy kids. Sticky comes to mind.

Lol, spilled milk is no fun. You have to be so thorough cleaning it up so that it doesn’t spoil. Tears warranted!

  • oh my gosh, my husband knows to just stay away in those situations 🙂
my recurring issue is rice boiling over. it never fails and to try to clean cooked-on rice liquid from the stove is a nightmare

    • Haha, your husband sounds like a smart man. Luckily this incident happened right before my husband was supposed to leave for work so he got to escape. 😉

Oh man, boiled over rice is the worst. You are right, trying to clean cooked rice liquid is definitely a dreadful task.
